Cafeteria

On the divine menu of the campus, a fusion of Chinese and Western dishes leaves behind an international perspective.

For the Chinese, food is paramount and the land is foundational, ingeniously integrating a reverence for nature and a passion for life into every meal.

Food, for the Chinese, serves as a vessel for emotions, a continuation of culture, and the most heartfelt ode to this land. Amidst the earthly fireworks, flavors endure.

01 Safeguarding Flavor, Further Ensuring Safety

We are acutely aware that the nutritional status of students' diets is directly linked to their physical development and overall health. Therefore, for the sake of our students' well-being, the school places a high emphasis on food safety, incorporating the adolescent dietary model into the meticulous design of three meals a day.

Our catering design strictly adheres to the scientific proportions of the nutritional pyramid, ensuring that each meal provides a balanced supply of the necessary nutrients. The daily menu is carefully composed of dairy, legumes, high-quality proteins, fresh vegetables, a variety of fruits, whole grains, tubers, and coarse grains. Additionally, the school pays special attention to the intake of oil and salt among students, strictly controlling it within a reasonable range to ensure students receive comprehensive nutrition from a variety of healthy foods.

Food safety concerns not only the food itself but also the quality and safety of the entire dining environment. The school is committed to providing students with a comprehensive and high-quality dining experience, ensuring that while they enjoy nutritionally balanced and delicious meals, they also feel comfortable and secure.

To achieve this goal, every detail of the cafeteria is subject to rigorous assessment and supervision. We focus on the quality of the food source, with ingredient suppliers who are qualified to cater to schools having their vegetable supply chain, ensuring traceability and the health of raw materials.

A self-service system is implemented, with heating devices under the plates, allowing students to choose food according to their needs while ensuring the food remains at an appropriate temperature.

Each dish is subject to sample retention, with detailed information labeled to ensure food safety can be traced.

The cleanliness and disinfection of utensils are also a focus, employing strict cleaning procedures, including washing, disinfecting, and high-temperature cabinet disinfection, to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the utensils.

Restaurant staff are required to have a catering health certificate and undergo regular health check-ups to ensure their health status meets work requirements.

Guarding the taste on the tip of the tongue, even more, safeguarding the safety on the tip of the tongue. The school is always in action to ensure students eat nutritiously, healthily, and safely.

02 PBL Learning: Student-Centered Dining Reform

Learning occurs not just in textbooks but also in dining halls and menus. The school encourages students to engage with everyday life and to offer their ideas for campus improvements. Thus, in last semester's Hands to Work course, students actively participated in the practical reform of campus dining.

Guided by the culinary department's expertise, they delved into nutrients and related knowledge, engaged in creative menu design and deliberation, and undertook projects such as designing posters on the theme of "Saving Food" and hands-on making of Mid-Autumn Festival mooncakes. Through these practices, not only was a sense of ownership cultivated among the students, but they also gained an understanding of the operational principles and standards of the campus cafeteria, clarifying healthy dining choices on campus.

Currently, students are actively involved in the school's dining projects, participating in menu planning. Through the joint efforts of teachers and students, every meal on campus becomes a delightful experience.

03 Step into the Campus, Savour a Culinary Feast

At the start of the new semester, the school sincerely invites parents to step into their children's daily lives and together taste the delicacies meticulously prepared by the school cafeteria. This is not only an exchange between home and school but also an opportunity for parents to gain a deep understanding of the school's dining philosophy and practices.

The administrative department has carefully planned this event, especially inviting parents to interact with the catering team. This interaction is not only about sharing the logic behind the school menu's nutritional composition but also about discussing adolescents' nutritional needs with the parents.

Stepping into the dining hall and kitchen, with its bright cleanliness and strict disinfection control, witnessing firsthand the school's management of food safety and hygiene, instills confidence in parents about the school's food safety.

The school invites parents to taste the day's meals, hoping they can appreciate the care taken in flavor and the balance of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Every bite is a promise of the children's healthy growth, and every dish reflects our pursuit of quality.

Finally, the administrative staff earnestly invites parents to fill out feedback forms, sharing their impressions and suggestions. These valuable suggestions are the driving force behind continuous optimization and improvement. The administrative department will also convert these suggestions into concrete measures for improvement, ensuring that our catering services can better meet the expectations of students and parents.

This is a journey about cuisine, and even more, an experience of trust and cooperation. We look forward to joining hands with parents to create a better campus life for the children.

Eating well is the romance of ordinary days. As the landscapes remain, so do the flavors unchanged, allowing teachers and students to enjoy the beautiful moments and "taste" of school life!
