Beijing BISS International School Parent-Teacher Association (PTA)

Purpose and Function

The BISS PTA is dedicated to serving as a bridge between parents and the school, ensuring that the voices of parents are heard and respected. Our core role is to represent the parent community, convey their wishes and expectations, and jointly promote the holistic development of students.

Our Mission

1. Inspiring Potential - We are committed to uncovering the potential of every student, empowering them to realize their dreams through active participation from families and the community.

2. Communication and Cooperation - We establish and maintain effective channels of communication between the school and parents, and among parents, to foster a friendly and harmonious cooperative environment.

3. Community Spirit - We promote the spirit of the BISS community through a variety of activities held throughout the year, enhancing a sense of belonging and unity.

4. Enhancing Resources - We raise funds to improve school facilities and educational resources, providing students with a superior learning environment.

5. Parental Support - We pool parental resources to support academics and various activities, including career planning, broadening horizons, and preparation for business competitions, helping students grow in all aspects.

Organizational Structure

Membership Composition - PTA members consist of all parents or guardians of students currently enrolled at BISS. We welcome every parent to join and contribute to our children's futures.

Executive Team - While all parents are part of the PTA, daily operations are managed by a lean executive team, including a chairperson, vice-chairperson, secretary, and treasurer. This team is dedicated to improving work efficiency and ensuring the smooth completion of PTA tasks.
