HS Boys Volleyball Champions!!

Names of team members

It was decided early on in the season that this group of boys would solely focus on the ISAC tournament and that ACAMIS glory would have to wait another year.
The boys started off the year with some basic skills but by the end they were playing some very good Volleyball. Though the results didn’t show it in the end the boys has developed into a very useful Volleyball team and almost defeated eventual runners up, DSP, in the round robin of the final ISAC tournament. Well done to all involved and thanks to Mr. E for his efforts.

ISAC GIRLS VOLLEYBALL Champions!

Names of team members

It was an early 6am start to the BISS girls with the first game starting at 8am. The first game against Harrow resulted in a comfortable win and filled the team with confidence. Second game facing the dangerous YCIS team proved to be more comfortable than expected, guaranteeing BISS a spot in the semi finals. To shore up top spot BISS then easily accounted for Tianjin and the playoffs beckoned.

In the semi finals BISS took on IAB. IAB played very well in the first set and led all the way to 24-21. The girl hung on and managed to level the scores at 24-24 before taking the lead and finally winning the set with 29-27. The loss of this set seemed to really affect IAB and their game suffered as a result. BISS took the next set comfortably and subsequently won the match.

In the finals BISS faced hosts BCIS. Both sides played some excellent volleyball but bit by bit, BISS chipped away at the competition and ended up winning two very hard fought sets to became ISAC U/14 CHAMPIONS!!!

To go through a long day without losing a set was outstanding. We would like to record our thanks to the whole team and parents for their unfailing support. This is the second year in a row that this group won the Championship and it all thanks to the players and their coach Mr. Anderson – a fantastic effort!

The semi final took place against IAB where after regulation time, then drop off knockout time the scores were still level!!
