Mr Andy Ellmers has been teaching since 2004. Andy holds a Bachelor of Education degree as well as a Bachelor of Arts. He is originally from New Zealand, but has also lived and taught in England and Egypt. Having travelled through Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Africa, he has moved to China to explore as much of Asia as he can. He is very much looking forward to being a part of a small school atmosphere again, as well as all the professional development opportunities available at BISS. He is heavily involved in sports, including: cycling, mountain biking, triathlon, cricket, and even competitive pool. In 2008, he completed his first Ironman triathlon after 7 years of Half-Ironman distance triathlons.
Ms. Tracy Luis originally from Hebei province, China. She completed her first degree in 2002 before moved to Australia to pursue her Master’s degree in Education. She lived in Australia for 5 years, working in two different private schools and then moved to Singapore where she taught in an international school. Tracy will be teaching MYP and DP mathematics. She likes to travel. As an old Chinese going “Traveling ten thousand miles is better than reading ten thousand scrolls”. Travel is knowledge and she travels to broaden her mind, for adventure and to discover the unknown. She would like to travel to many places in China which have changed dramatically in recent years.
Mrs Mindi Wilkins is originally from Iowa, USA. She received her Bachelor’s in Physical Education from The University of Northern Iowa. After graduation she taught at the Korea International School and in Egypt as well. She has a certificate in Sports Administration and has also served as Athletic Director. She recently married Kenny and they will be living in China with their English Bulldog, Izzy. Mindi enjoys many hobbies including golf, running, volleyball and playing any kind of sports. She also loves to coordinate events for her community.
