Thank you so much for having made a donation to the „Saint Maur Earthquake/Tsunami Relief Fund.‟ To date we have already collected over six million yen (seventy thousands U.S. dollars) towards the relief effort.
A committee comprised of staff, parents and students has been established to oversee the distribution of the funds collected. The blog information provides up-dates on the relief activities the school is involved in, and describes the support being provided to those victims of the earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear power plant.
As we continue to be rocked by on-going aftershocks and the worry of the malfunctioning nuclear reactors, please keep us in your prayers and thoughts. We are confident that our united efforts will play some small part in assuring a brighter future for the people of Japan who are presently contending with unimaginable tragedy and suffering. One can only be uplifted and amazed by how the Japanese people, particularly in those areas most affected, are coping and accepting their hardship with immense courage and dignity. They continue to be an inspiration to us all.
With thousands of people left homeless and in despair, we hope that our small efforts will assist in bringing them some comfort and future hope through the knowledge and realization that they have not been forgotten, and are not alone.
